About KatyI’m a freelance writer from the Philadelphia suburbs, where I share a townhouse with my family and our pets. Except for college, I’ve always lived and worked in this area, and I don’t think I’d ever want to live anywhere else (although during ice storms in February, I could be tempted!) I mostly work from home, so my “writing day” never quite ends. I write at night and on the weekends—and frequently (thanks to my patient and self-reliant better half) on vacations.

I just finished Meeting Mayhem, the last book in my “Meeting Mysteries” series featuring Laurie Kilcannon and Tim Riordan. It takes place in the Connemara region of Ireland, where murder (of course) intrudes on Laurie and Tim’s honeymoon. Meeting Scandal is the third, and is set “down the shore” in Cape May, NJ on a quite—eventful—summer vacation. Before that, there’s Meeting Darkness, set in the fictional town of Barcliff on Cape Cod, which introduces the reader to a host of fun characters, from beer-swilling fishermen to tony upper-crust estate-dwellers to the hard-working locals who form the backbone of the town. My first book is Meeting Murder, set at a pharmaceutical product launch meeting in Miami Beach, FL. The books in the series can be read in any order.

I also write essays and blog posts, am planning a “‘tween-age” series about shelter dogs, and will soon publish a stand-alone essay collection and a young adult novella for Kindle. Bottom line? If it involves words, I probably do it. Numbers— not so much. (You should see my checkbook!)
